Welcome

Welcome to Brazil Naz. It is our sincere hope that you feel God's presence in our services and Christ's love in our people.

Information about the church, our ministries, upcoming events, and more can be found at brazilnaz.com.

We’d also love the opportunity to get to know you better. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a Christian your whole life, we want to be by your side along your spiritual journey. Please complete a Connection Form so we can keep in touch.

For our families with children

If you have children, we have several offerings for all ages.

On Sunday mornings, volunteers are available in the nursery for children up to age 3. A room is available for nursing mothers, too. Both rooms are located next to the Sanctuary near the west entrance.

Children ages 3-5 who are potty-trained can attend Wee Worship in the northeast classroom. Wee Worship offers playtime and learning activities.

Children in school up to age 12 can attend Children's Church. Children's Church offers lessons that reinforce Biblical values and principles. Children's Church is in the room next to the Library.

Once a month, we have a Family Sunday when children stay in the sanctuary with their family.

If you would like to have a speaking part in this service, meet at the back of the sanctuary (grand piano side) after morning worship.

Easter Offering

Whether you participate in Faith Promise giving for world missions, be encouraged to give something extra at Easter time.   The World Evangelism Fund was largely supported in the past by major offerings at Easter and Thanksgiving.  The plan for Faith Promise giving has changed that emphasis somewhat, but we can give an added boost to Nazarene Missions by still participating at those two special times of the year.  Thanks for your giving to missions!

This Weeks’ Message

"The Seven Last Words"

Scripture: Luke 23:33-34, 39-46, Matthew 27:45-46, John 19:25-30

Luke 23:33-34

33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."

And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Luke 23:39-46

39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us."

40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." 42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."

43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, ''into Your hands I commit My spirit.'' " Having said this, He breathed His last.

Matthew 27:45-46

45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

John 19:25-30

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother''s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" 27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
