Crisis response

How do people respond to a crisis? Conversion or reversion? Some see an opportunity to build, to grow, to improve. Others see an opportunity to destroy, to harm, to regress. Jesus is for conversion. Satan is for reversion. Which do you choose?

Uncertainties

My daughter had a car accident this week. Life is full of uncertainties. That is why I cling to stability through relationships. I have God. I have Debbie. I have my daughters and my dad. I have a church family that cares. Relationships are the most important thing in an uncertain life.

He Is Unchanging

As we restart worship services there is a nagging probability that returning to “normal” may not ever happen. Our lives are forever altered by the situations we go through. That is why our relationship with Jesus is so important. While changes occur, He is unchanging! Thank you, Jesus!

What is truth?

Because of the pandemic, many people have been thinking about life and death. That is okay if it causes people to find Jesus or grow in their relationship with God. But I’m afraid that while the virus death count rises, most people ignore the everyday number of deaths due to sinful or selfish choices. What is the truth?

Responding through obedience

Where is God when life hurts? God is very active. For the non-Christian, God is on the outside reaching out in love, but limited by their rejection. For the Christian, God is inside them, offering comfort, direction, grace, peace, and joy. And the Christian responds back to God through loving obedience.

I will post an announcement on Monday about resuming church services. Please look for it.

Waiting is difficult...

Waiting is hard. When you have a big event (graduation, wedding, retirement) planned, it seems to never arrive. Waiting through this pandemic has been hard on everyone. How have the delays affected you spiritually? Where is your God when you are waiting?

When is this going to end?

Almost everyone is asking the same question: “When is this going to end?” And the correct answer is……it all depends. When things are out of our control, people are not happy. But then we realize that we were never really in control. And that’s where our relationship with God provides stability. HE IS LORD and HE IS GOD!
