Crisis Care Kits

Each year Brazil Naz collects Crisis Care Kits for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. These kits are stored in a warehouse until there is a natural disaster somewhere in the world, and then they are shipped to the location that is in need.

Rhonda Schafer is in charge of this project at our church. You can pick up a 2½-gallon bag from her, or you may donate money and she will purchase items for the kits. Each bag costs about $20. Rhonda will have a table in the foyer to pick up/drop off kits.

2025 CRISIS CARE KITS Shopping List 

• 1 shampoo (12 to 18 oz.- not medicated)

• 2 bars of soap (bath size or larger)

• 1 toothpaste (4.0 to 6.4 oz.- expiration date must be at least 18 months from now)

• 3 toothbrushes (in original packaging)

• 1 box of bandaids (30+ - not medicated)

• 1 fingernail clipper (not toenail)

• 1 large, sturdy hair comb

• 2 hand towels (15”x28”)

• 4 pocket-sized pkgs. of tissues

• 1 6-8” tall, soft, stuffed toy

• 7 unscented sanitary pads (regular absorbency, individually wrapped, placed in a quart zip-lock bag)

Each Crisis Care Kit (CCK) should contain ONLY the items/quantities listed. Place all items into the 2½-gallon zip-lock bag provided by Rhonda. Including items not on the approved list can cause a shipment to be rejected at Customs.
