Welcome

Welcome to Brazil Naz. It is our sincere hope that you feel God's presence in our services and Christ's love in our people.

Information about the church, our ministries, upcoming events, and more can be found at brazilnaz.com.

We’d also love the opportunity to get to know you better. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a Christian your whole life, we want to be by your side along your spiritual journey. Please complete a Connection Form so we can keep in touch.

For our families with children

If you have children, we have several offerings for all ages.

On Sunday mornings, volunteers are available in the nursery for children up to age 3. A room is available for nursing mothers, too. Both rooms are located next to the Sanctuary near the west entrance.

Children ages 3-5 who are potty-trained can attend Wee Worship in the northeast classroom. Wee Worship offers playtime and learning activities.

Children in school up to age 12 can attend Children's Church. Children's Church offers lessons that reinforce Biblical values and principles. Children's Church is in the room next to the Library.

Once a month, we have a Family Sunday when children stay in the sanctuary with their family.

Community Trick or Treat

Our church will be participating in the Community Trick or Treat on National Avenue. It will be Thursday, October 31 from 5-7pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to make our church “visible” in our community. We are collecting candy to pass out that evening. There is a special container in the foyer for candy donations. It is estimated that there will be 800+ kids involved in the event. Please sign upon the bulletin board if you plan to attend.

Alabaster Offering

We collected $186.61 for the Alabaster offering during the month of September. Our efforts, along with many others around the world, will provide funding for Nazarene ministry buildings in every world area.

SWID Equip Training Day

A complete list of “breakout” classes can be found online at swidnazarene.org. Look for EQUIP under the event tab. Registration must be completed online.

Expressing Gratitude

Thank you for the kindness and love that was shown to the Swartz, Downey and Hull family. The food at the Celebration of Life was wonderful! Thanks to Shelly and Shelby for the table decorations and everyone else who helped in any way. God loves you and so do we.

Sermon Notes

"Motivating the Workers"

Scripture: Nehemiah 2:17-20

17 Then I said to them, "You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach." 18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king''s words that he had spoken to me.

So they said, "Let us rise up and build." Then they set their hands to this good work.

19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, "What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?"

20 So I answered them, and said to them, "The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem."
